Out of Work or Unemployed

I have recently found myself out of work or should I say unemployed.  Now many people think both of these terms are one in the same, but I have found this is not the case. Both are very different and I have recently come to to the conclusion, or should I say a theory, on why people can not get off welfare.

First a short explanation as to why I am currently unemployed.  My employer was the local certified Premium Apple Service and Repair center. Then in December Apple corporate opened up a store at the local mall across the street from us.
